About EPAP
What is EPAP?
EPAP (Email Q&A Parser) is a web application that helps organizations transform email correspondence into structured, searchable knowledge. By pasting email threads into the system, you can extract question–answer pairs and build a persistent knowledge base — all while keeping the data GDPR-compliant and free from personal identifiable information.
Why move email content into persistent knowledge?
Email threads often contain valuable regulatory advice, operational decisions, and subject-matter expertise. But buried in inboxes, this knowledge is:
- Hard to find — scattered across individual mailboxes and folders
- Not GDPR-safe — raw emails contain personal data (names, email addresses, signatures)
- Not persistent — lost when people leave the organization or change roles
- Not reusable — the same question gets answered repeatedly by different people
EPAP solves this by extracting the core question and answer from each thread, stripping away personal data, and storing the result as structured, searchable, and exportable knowledge that stays with the organization.
How to use EPAP
- Create an account — Sign up with your email address to get started.
- Paste an email thread — Navigate to "Add" and paste or drop the full email thread into the form.
- Generate Q&A pairs — EPAP will analyze the thread using AI and extract the most central question and its answer, reformulated into a clear FAQ format.
- Review and edit — Visit the "List" page to review generated pairs. You can edit, update, or delete entries as needed.
- Export — Export your Q&A pairs as CSV for use in spreadsheets or other tools.
- Search — Use the search function on the List page to find specific content across all your Q&A pairs.
GDPR & Privacy
EPAP is designed with privacy in mind. Personal data from email threads (names, email addresses, signatures) is not stored in the structured Q&A output. The system flags PII risks and Re-Identification risks. The goal is to help you build a knowledge base that is persistent, searchable, and free of personal information.
